We often say we try not to use stock photography whenever possible. We really do try to shoot our own. We are often asked about our photography work. We rarely showcase just photography on our website. Recently, our creative director entered some photos in the Destination Oakland photo contest. A few of them won forth place and one received a merit award. It’s a great chance to help Oakland, a city we love. Here are the photos.

When Paul Olson needed a logo for his series of performance seminars, he asked us to see what we could do. We designed a strong, typographical based logo, that was very different than what the competition was doing. Increasing awareness and recognition.
Insight Marketing came to us wanting a new website. They wanted to take their printed capabilities brochure and us it as a basis for the website. We took the best parts and added in a few of our own and created something that is simple to navigate and easy on the eyes.
We created this website for an artist who created little sculptures called “Heads in a Box”. Basically, he builds little boxes, sometimes divided into four spaces, and inserts little clay head sculptures in them. The little heads have wire sticking out of them which the artist twists to keep the heads floating in the boxes. Pretty fun. We decided to take the wood box idea and create the whole website in that style.

Ta da! Hokas is a new clothing company based in the Bay Area. When they came to us, they didn’t have much in branding their company. We started things of by coming up with a new logo for them.

The Modesto Nuts are a Minor League affiliate of the Colorado Rockies. For the 2010 season, we helped the Nuts freshen up their look by designing over 15 new pieces. Playing with fun illustrations and clever headlines, we gave them a real sense of baseball tradition. Go Nuts!
The Modesto Nuts Professional Baseball Club
We recently helped the Modesto Nuts Professional Baseball Club freshen up their look. We will be posting some samples of that work here soon. We also created some advertising for ourselves that will appear at every Modesto Nuts home game. Look for our ad in their Playball magazine and our video up on the big screen! Go nuts.
